Preserving Heritage, Appreciating Karen Weaving
Mae Tued village, Moo 6, Mae Phung Subdistrict, Wang Chin District, Phrae Province, is a community that has been home to the Karen people since ancient times. The villagers continue to weave cloth for their own use and have passed down the traditional backstrap loom weaving techniques from generation to generation. In recent times, they have developed these skills further by transforming the woven fabric into various stylish bags while maintaining the unique charm of Karen weaving.
